WeFIX is delighted to commemorate Armed Forces Day 2020 by announcing that it will now guarantee job interviews for all veterans seeking to join the company, effective immediately. Applicants for jobs within the company will be asked to declare any prior military service, and later be individually contacted by a hiring manager to organise an interview.
This follows the Civil Service announcing its own Guaranteed Interview Scheme for veterans earlier this year which the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames also supports.
Austin Sharp, Managing Director of WeFIX says:
“Our veterans develop a remarkable set of skills that can benefit any employer during their time in Service.Ex-Service personnel are dedicated, hard-working, and natural team-players. We stand to significantly benefit from integrating veterans into our workforce, and look forward to seeing the positive difference and added value they bring to WeFIX.
Conversely, this is also our way of giving back and thanking those who were willing to make an ultimate sacrifice for us. Veterans often have years of experience in the technical trades, but may not have converted this into recognised civilian qualifications. Guaranteeing interviews is an important step towards overcoming this barrier to employment, and we hope other employers begin to do so as well.”
NOTES TO EDITORS:
Austin Sharp is available for interview. To organise, please email info@wefixonline.co.uk, or call 07875196708.

EICR regulations Regulations governing how landlords are required to maintain safe electrics across their properties changed on 1st June 2020. Landlords must now have the electrical installations in their properties inspected and tested by a person who is qualified and competent, at least every 5 years, and provide a copy of the electrical safety report to their tenants, and local authority if requested.
While more detailed information can be found on the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government’s website [1], rest assured that WeFIX’s growing electrics division will be able to support you in ensuring your properties are EICR compliant.
Austin Sharp, Managing Director of WeFIX says:
“All of our qualified electricians are able to conduct full EICR compliant testing and subsequently provide the appropriate reports. As a company we have significant amounts of experience in ensuring compliance with often complex health and safety regulations, and can support both private landlords and larger estate agencies.
There can never be any shortcuts with health and safety compliance. Please do reach out to us, and we would be more than happy to discuss how we can help you ensure your properties are EICR compliant.”
